Two journalists from privately owned Cameroonian daily newspaper Le Jour were arrested while covering a gathering of opposition party members in the city of Douala.
RSF is reiterating its call for the immediate release of leading Cameroonian journalist Amadou Vamoulké, in prison on trumped-up charges since July 2016. He is due to appear in court on 4 December in a trial already postponed 14 times in a row.
Michel Biem Tong, editor of the privately owned Hurinews website, was summoned to the State Secretariat for Defense in the capital, Yaoundé and detained without being charged.
