Mohammed Reza Sadegh, Ali-Reza Khosravi



(RSF/IFEX) - Two journalists with the official press agency IRNA, deputy
director-general Mohammed Reza Sadegh, and editor-in-chief Ali-Reza
Khosravi, both arrested on 22 September 1998, were freed on 100 million
rials (US$33,333) bail each the next day. They had been arrested for
publishing news on the 13 September attempt on the life of Mohsen
Rafiq-Doust, director of the foundation responsible for managing the
imperial family's wealth and the disbursement of welfare payments to victims
of the Iran-Iraq war.
