Premiers témoignages accablants pour le clan Ampatuan au procès du massacre de Maguindanao

(RSF/IFEX) - "C'est facile, père. Nous les abattons tous quand ils viendront ici". Cette phrase attribuée au principal suspect, Andal Ampatuan Jr, par l'un des premiers témoins appelé à la barre, est accablant pour le clan Ampatuan sur le caractère prémédité du massacre de Maguindanao. Lors d'une réunion du clan tenue au domicile du patriarche du clan, alors gouverneur de la province de Maguindanao, ce dernier aurait donné des instructions à son fils : "Ne te fies pas aux autres pour leur barrer la route. Tu dois le faire toi-même : les arrêter sur la route". Il est donc clair que le patriarche a été averti par son fils de son intention d'éliminer les membres du convoi dirigé par l'épouse d'un opposant local.

Le 8 septembre 2010, le procès a donc repris avec ce témoignage de Lakmudin Saliao, ancien employé du principal suspect. Le témoin a donc accusé le clan Ampatuan dont 196 membres, principalement des miliciens, sont accusés du massacre de 57 civils, dont 32 professionnels des médias, en novembre 2009.

Encore une fois, les avocats des accusés ont tenté de repousser de dix jours le début du procès. La juge Jocelyn Reyer a rejeté cette motion.
